Ben Sawyer joined ABOUT in 2021 as Vice President of Transformation Engineering, bringing with him over 35 years of industry expertise with the unique ability to understand clinical, financial, and operational healthcare issues, and assess & position maturity maps and solutions that will deliver results to health system leaders.
Ben has over 35 years of healthcare industry experience, starting his career as a physical therapist specializing in sports medicine and orthopedics. After five years of specialty work, he achieved his clinical specialist certification in orthopedics. Subsequently, he secured his MBA and moved into hospital administration, taking on leadership roles that included oversight of enterprise-wide performance and quality improvement. He then went on to serve as the Executive Vice President of Care Logistics for 12 years and Chief Executive Officer of SOAR Vision Group for five years before joining ABOUT.
